I have a Ricoh Aficio 3025 that was sitting in a corner being used as a glorified photocopier for the longest time. We decided last week to take a look at it and it turns out that it has the usb/nic card installed in it already - the holes just weren't punched out!
I dragged it over to a pc and hooked up the usb cable - no action on the pc. I tried the same cable in the same USB port on a different printer and it worked flawlessly. I then decided to plug in the nic to the network - the light on the nic lit up and the port on the switch lit up, but there was no sign of any traffic over the network.
Does this card need to be enabled in the printer somehow before being used?
