Persistent:Yes Issue

Currently, I have several users that are connected to a network printer. Whenever the PC is restarted the mapping for the printer is unavailable. When the PC desktop appears and the user attempts to use the printer it stalls (not allow user to print). I then have to enter re-map the network printer using the LPT1 port to the designated PC. Also when I re-map the network printer I enter persistent:yes to save the setting, but this command does not prevent the printer from losing the mapping when its restarted. I know that a batch file can be created and would have to be used each time the user turn on the PC, but I wanted to know does anyone know what is causing the issue of the network printer to be unavailable upon a reboot? If so is there a command that could be entered as an administrator to keep the LPT1 settings saved beside...
