Morning Folks,
I'm currently deploying 36 new workstations across my network. For reasons I do not want to get into (some of you already know), I have no imaging solution, so I'm doing these one by one... kind of annoying... very tedious...
To save myself time I wrote a few batch files to install the generic software and the printers we need for everyone, freeing up a LOT of time. Which was wonderful.
Printer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 all ran, some needed manual drivers, but what have you it worked. I got over 23 of these suckers out with no problem.
Last night though my boss goes to check a printer on the newest set I'm doing and gets "no printer detected". She looked at it, I looked at it... there were no drivers... ok maybe I ran the wrong batch file on these final few, all I have to do is connect to the printer.... if only it were that easy...
