My wife is a teacher and I swung by her classroom today in an attempt to help her with her classroom printer. There had been a rainstorm so all computers had been pulled away from a window that was leaking. Long story short most of the cables were disconnected.
Connected the printer back to the network and went to add it to her laptop but nada. After some brow furrowing I realized that when I used the printer menus to ping out or even just printed settings my continuous ping that was going on the laptop would wake up, then about ten seconds later would go back to 'Request timed out'.
I've disabled the sleep/auto off timer and don't really see any other settings that would cause the printer to 'sleep' on the network. Also have the 'Wake/Auto On Events' set to All events.
Any help would be appreciated. I've shown her everything to show to...
