Greetings Spiceheads. I'm hoping the community can pitch in and recommend a few different ID Card printers.
Here's the history: Currently my non-profit organization is using two Fargo DTC 4500 printers. These have been in service for nearly 4 years now and are starting to be come a big problem. We've had to have one serviced 4 times in the last six months. The other isn't much behind the first. So, before we get into a situation where we have no printing capability (a vital part of our business, without it we close down), I'm looking to replace these two devices.
We entertained going with Fargo again, but a few sources say I should. Of course some of those sources are sales reps, so you know that is biased. We even went as far as securing a demo printer to try. It had less than pleasing results.
So... criteria:
- Must be and ID Printer (Duh,...
