Printer not reporting whether job is colour or b/w

We've started using a print monitoring tool; SoftPerfect Print Inspector. https://www.softperfect.com/products/pinspector/

It's very good - however our printers do not seem to be reporting back the right information; such as whether a job is black and white or colour, or whether it's duplex. 

Is there a way to change how the printers report, or is there nothing I can do?

The printers we have are Canon IRC5030i and LBP7750.
