I always love when staff interrupt my lunch to ask me if I would mind emptying the completely full waste toner container into an open trash container for them.
"Where is the replacement waste toner container?" I ask.
"There isn't one. Please, I really need to print."
"You're not supposed to dump raw amounts of waste toner out of a sealed container into an open container, it poses health risks. Order the waste toner container like the machine is prompting you to do. According to the logs, it's only been prompting you to do so for the last month and a half."
"The office manager is out, so we can't order anything."
What I really love is that after that exchange, they ask me for my endorsement to get someone else like the poor janitor on duty to empty the waste toner bin into a regular trash can.
I told them that I would not give my endorsement...
