We have bodged together a solution for users who need to print info from a terminal server to their local desktop printer. On the workstation, we share the printer and list it in the directory. While on the terminal server, we have them add the printer share to their session. Then when they need to print, viola, print to that share.
HOWEVER, some printers are now having documents print that were not intended for them (user a sends a print to user b's printer, without printer b being added to user a's session).
We are desperate for a better solution (buying new printers) so that we can avoid EZPrint and the hassle that HP/Microsoft has put on us, but the budgets won't allow.
