I am in the process of evaulating the replacement of 5 of my large MFPs. Now, I have multiple options on how to go on this.
1) Purchase locally from a Reseller.
Pros: The contract is with this company, so they will be the ones providing the maintenance and I can call them directly when I have issues. Toners will be shipped directly from Xerox.
Cons: The cost of the copiers is higher than list price on Xerox website! They basically match list price if I trade in my old copiers... which I would do anyways.
2) Purchase locally from a certified distributor
Pros: Maintenance and Toners from local provider.
Cons: List Price. Also, there are restricted over who can provide service to what area... so I would have to basically purchase from multiple vendors in order to cover all my areas. MEH!
3) Purchase directly from Xerox.
Pros: Discounted price....
