We haveabout 50HP LaserJet Pro M401N Network Printers (and havestatic IP)in our clinic.
For some odd reason, they go off the network at random times. Off the network meaning you can't ping to it and as a result, users can't print to it. The light from the printer's network port is blinking even though you can't ping to it. The issue is only fixed by two ways, either you restart the printer or justunplugg/plug the printer's network cable. After they start working, it could be anything in between 4 hours and 2 days until they go offline again. Below are the facts:
- The printers are used mostly from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Every Morning, I notice at least 10 printers that are offline.
-We have 3 print servers for different applications they print from and the printer gets knocked of the network from all three of these print servers....
