We've been trying to find innovative ways of cutting costs especially when it comes to printing. I've been analyzing the needs and habits of my users and here's my conclusions/observations:
- Users print out slides for their PowerPoint. Why does it have to be in color?
- There's no need to print out handouts for meetings and especially in color. The sight of a wasteful user walking back from the printer with a single-sided book in vivid color makes me cringe every time.
- Users print proposals that are hundreds of pages in color to bind and mail them to potential clients. This can't be done by e-mail?
- For government clients, why not get a FedEx Office account, upload the document, and have FedEx print and mail it?
- My AP person told me that she needs to print invoices in color. Why? Does having your bill in vivid color increase the chances of you...
