I have a printer in a managed office, a Ricoh Aficio MP C4000, I also have a computer set up with a share on it.

I can access the Web Image monitor from the machine where the shared folder is, so I know they can see each other on the network, the problem is the photocopier never seems to see the scanned folder.
The computer and photocopier have the same subnet and gateway addresses, and I have the folder protocol set to SMB \\10.6.178.211\Scans, but its not working, if I navigate to this folder from the computer itself, it works!
Is there anything else you need to know about this, what other details do you need, what else should I try,
The managed office does not have an SMTP server/relay for me to point it at, so thats out of the question, I'm thinking FTP server, but worried that I'll run into the same problem as above.
The only last thing is NCP, which I've never heard of.
