Greetings Community!
A user has a Canon MF4770n that has been working fine in the past. Just recently it starts to make an extremely loud buzzing sound whenever the power is turned on, making it unusable.
There is no paper jammed anywhere, and no obvious signs of parts out of place or damaged. The sounds stops when you open the toner cover so unfortunately I can't investigate the cause of the sound while it's happening.
My colleague suggested that something is probably wrong with the roller that grabs the paper, which seems perfectly likely but I don't know how to confirm or remedy this. I also googled the issue but I can't find any real info, so that's why I'm asking the question here:
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix or at least properly diagnose the issue? The printer is far out of warranty so that isn't an option.
Thanks...
