I have a system here at our facility that cannot connect to a printer.
This setup was working well when the system that was an xp system was sharing the printer.
I updated that system to a Win 7 box and now this XP system is having issues.
The first issue is when attempting to connect the printer.
When I attempt to connect I get the error
"You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer"
Ok so I attempt to change the policy through my administrator account, however when I look at the policy my options are greyed out.
Fine I will just load the drivers manually, I attempt to do this and the system informs me I have the incorrect driver...I just downloaded it from the site it's a brother HL-2140.
Now I have connected five other systems without a hitch, but as I recall these were all Windows 7 systems.
