Epson Scanner Issues again

Last year I ran maintenance on the software for an EPSON GT20000 Scanner now whenever I try to scan a page it says Cannot communicate with scanner Make sure the scanner is on, correctly setup and connected with no errors in the scanner. I already reinstalled all software and drivers and when I go to Epson scan settings it says interface not connected. I used the same USB cable to test a printer I hooked it up to my laptop, same issue
