So I’ve been chasing this problem around for several weeks. On occasion (like once per week) I get a call from a user that there application has stopped responding. What is really happening is that the app is sending a job to the printer and won’t continue until the job prints. So the problem is that the printer fails to print and the question is why.
This issue is affecting 9 different workstations (W7 64bit), that all have an Epson TM-T88IV Receipt printer installed locally. The problem is not with the data, and it’s not the printer.
Most of the time, just opening the Devices and Printers window (on the PC) is enough to get the job to print, but then subsequent print jobs to this printer will fail until the print spooler service is restarted.
Any Thoughts?
