We have a contract that requires that ID cards be issued to all employees accessing the job site. The list of requirements for the system takes up about two pages, but here are the basics.
Duplex printing in color with test and logos, employee image integrated software, database with audit log and search, one step cart replacement, desktop pinter, pretty much all user replaceable stuff like print heads, PVC cards with glossy overlaminate (card stock), 300dpi, "True" exception card system, ability to set expiration dates on cards automatically.
This is California so they are looking at ways to waste money on job sites like a $50K snake fence for a garter snake.
