We are looking at maybe getting two new printers and considering Cannon, Ricoh, and Sharp.
Currently we have a Sharp with 5 trays (3x Letter trays totaling about 6k pages capacity, as well as 550 sheet Legal and Ledger trays), 3-hole punch, stapler, 62 page per minute B&W. That is our big printer running about 20,000 B&W and 10,000 color per month. Previous to the Sharp we had a Cannon and it was before my time but I hear it was a good machine.
Our smaller "production" printer is a little too powerful at 52 B&W pages per minute, it only does about 1,000 B&W and 500 color per month but needs the business features like scan to email, scan to folder, Letter and Ledger paper drawers, bypass tray for specialty paper, etc. as it sometimes has to take over printing duties when the big machine is tied up doing huge jobs. I would think 30-40 ppm B&W would be totally sufficient.
So what are your favorite (or least favorite) printers that I should be looking at (or not)?
