Hi everyone,
I have one user who has had issues with one printer in the office, and previously the issue could be resolved by removing the printer, shutting down and re-adding it. The printer is a Canon iR-ADV C5030 and it appears connected but when sending print jobs it never shows them in the print queue and no printing occurs. When trying to print a test page it advises that a test page could not be printed, it asks to open the troubleshooter and shows error 0x000003e5. The troubleshooter could not find a solution and I have been trying various different ones with no luck.
I have deleted and re-added the printer driver, upgraded the printer driver to the newest available, removed all mentions of the printer/driver from regedit, deleted the ports and re-added them, stopped and restarted the print spooler, tried deploying the printer using GPO, and tried removing the driver package but it says they are in use. The weird thing is I can add the printer by using the IP address but it will only work if I use the wrong driver. I added it by IP address using 2 different drivers for the C5030 model printer and it always gives the same 0x000003e5 error, but if I use a pre-installed C5058 driver that was in the list of Canon drivers it works. The print menu is very different though and will not allow enough configuration to leave it this way, and we use PaperCut to manage printing costs so it needs to be coming from the network printer name.
If anyone has experiences something like this or has some tips I would really appreciate it, this is really starting to frustrate me. Thanks!!
