Need to connect a Brother HL-2044 to a thin-client, but printer only has USB

USB ports are forwarded to a terminal server. The Wyse thin-client has a keyboard, mouse and barcode scanner (all USB). All said peripherals work without issue, so the USB ports are being forwarded from the Wyse to the TS properly.

My problem is this; when I remote to the terminal server from the thin-client as domain admin, I can install a local printer but there is no USB001 (virtual usb) port and I cannot figure out how to create one.USB or virtual usb is not listed among preset ports available to create. When I try to create a new "type" of port, Windows just says to "name" it, then that's it....nothing. No way to configure or change the new "port," it just has a name.

I've checked Print Management (terminal server OS is Server 2008 R2), but I haven't found anything else there. I can't find anything online about how to do this. What...
