I have a severe problem with one laptop running on Windows 7 PRO 32bit.
Since one week, I can't open Devices and Printers anymore. I can't use any print function in any program: Word, Notepad,...
I can't open Printmanagement, I can't add a new printer (local or network).
What I already did:
- restarting print spool service: there's an error while it tries to stop, but it eventually is stopped.
- deleting the files under windows/system32/spool
- copied the files windows/system32/spool from another pc
- inserted the registry info concerning the printers from another pc
- changed ownership for spoolsv.exe and print.exe from TrustedInstaller to Administrator with full rights.
For the record: when the user logs in, a Konica Minolta printer should be added through GPO. This doesn't work anymore.
