one of our users has a printing problem and I wondered if someone here had already done something like this.
We receive pre-printed cards (thick paper about 6"x3.5" in size) from a provider and we must print a number on the card (production lot number). Currently the user uses a HP LJ1200 (good for the large bypass tray) and uses Word to print the number on the cards.
The problem is, it is incredibly slow, and with the last run of cards we received, the printing must have been done with a faulty printer because the pre-printed stuff comes off and smears across the whole card.
My question is this : would there be a printer that is faster and has more room for the pile of cards so that cards output is higher and the printer doesn't have to be fed as often.
