We have a Ricoh C5503 we use for general everyday printing and an HP 4240 with an envelope feeder for printing envelopes. I have everyting running OK with a PCL 5 driver on the Ricoh, but it lacks some of the features we need from the PCL 6 driver. With a PCL 5 driver on the Ricoh (and no matter which one on the HP) envelopes default correctly to the envelope tray when we print them from our in house web app (the envelopes are created using MS Report Viewer). As soon as I install the PCL 6 driver for the Ricoh, when we print envelopes to the HP they default to the manual feed tray.and not the envelope tray. If the user goes into the printer properties from the print dialog, and chooses Envelope #10 and plain as the paper type, it works fine.
This behavior only occurs when printing envelopes from the Report Viewer. If we do it from Word...
