my accounting department wants to track print outs on my 2 xerox 7845 by department.
After investigating this there is no easy way to do this without user intereaction that I can find.
What I envision is fairly simple and straight forward, since the 7845 already talks to my AD server, why can't it pull the department name from whoever is logged into a computer and then tally the printouts that way? Why do my users either have to swipe a card or enter some code or userid?
I am since you are already pulling email addresses and names and such, why not department code and track the prints that way without user input?
