Yesterday morning it was reported that a printer was displaying this error Error 99.09.64 Disk Nonfunctional. After a quick search it appears that the error states the drive is shot and should be replaced. The drive itself is a tiny 8GB SanDisk SSD. The drive costs roughly ~$300 and unfortunately the warranty expired october 15th 2014. I was able to contact HP today and they assured me they would extend a courtesy to replace the defective drive, or the entire formatter board if that was the route cause of the error. Of course HP wanted to have me test some things with the printer to see what worked and what didn't and pull some report prints from the printer if at all possible. As soon as I had plugged the drive back into the board and the board back into the printer it turned on without error.
