I have in another site a room with 2 PC's (Win7 pro 32bit), a networked printer, and a networked copier that multiple users use. In the last three weeks, I've had users call me saying the printer was showings as offline. So I ping the printer and access the web interface successfully. I then remoted into one of the PC's and logged in with my domain admin account (the user had already left the building), and everything looked fine. Windows did not show anything in the print queue and the printer showed as available under my account. Since there were Windows updates waiting to be applied, I rebooted the PC.
Yesterday, I had the same user call me twice about this. The second time he called, he said that whatever I did the first time worked for a little while, but it wasn't working now. What did I do the first time? Nothing.
Is this a case...
