Our HP Laserjet P4014 is in service since January 2010 - it serves about 15 people in a workgroup. We have never had any problems and perform regular maintenace on the unit. Earlier today, something weird started happening - when a print job is sent, the printer motor starts to spin, but the page takes 30-60 seconds to come out - it used to be instaneous. I tried replacing the pickup rollers, then I cleaned and rebooted the printer. The problem persisted. I did some searches on the Internet and some users seemed to have the same or similar problems, but the exact solution wasn't clear. Some people suggested that the fuser might be finished, but in our case, the print quality is still very good. Some suggested changing the "lifter motor" but I am not sure what that part looks like.
