I hope someone may have an answer for me on this one.
We have all of our copiers setup on a Windows 2008 R2 Print Server and we have all the defaults set to black and white for cost reduction. Printers are then set to the users by GPO's. Typical setup works fine.
However as you always find there is the handful of users who are above company standards and require to always print in colour. In the past I have normally done the quick and dirty remove them from GPO and setup the printer as a local TCP/IP Printer and set colour as default. Is there a better way to do this that means they can still remain in the GPO and use the same print queue / server connection.
I don't want to go down the route of third party print servers or tools would rather keep it Windows but I just can't ever seem to find information about printing defaults unless its...
