We have a Fujitsu FI-5650C scanner that we use for scanning our archive files. We've had it for about 8 years. It's been a reliable and loyal servant but it's starting to show it's age a bit now and I think it's time to get a new one.
I'm tempted to go for the successor model which seems to be the FI-6670. However I just thought I'd check on here to see whether anybody can suggest any alternative options. We don't need flat bed capability although do need the option to scan A3.
The only major gripe we have with the fujitsu is the cost of the rollers. These are horribly expensive for what they are and seem to be viewed by fujitsu as an unofficial tax on usage.
Does anybody know whether other scanner manufacturers view their consumables in a similar way?
