I have a client who is fed up with having to call Sharp maintenance to clean their Sharp MX-4111N to remove black lines from their copies and scans. A new company is vying for their business and offering leasing and maintenance for a Ricoh C3503 or a Lexmark C795. Which is better?
Client scans a lot of medical records (some color). We currently scan to a PC with Omni Page Pro set up with watch folders. Omni OCR's incoming scans and outputs to network folders as searchable PDFs.
Need copier/scanner that can either create searchable PDFs on its own or that can be configured to scan to a PC or network folder. Most come with that ability. Am looking for good web interface for configuring, but the CRITICAL feature is a machine doesn't require a lot of cleaning and maintenance.
Do either the Ricoh or the Lexmark fit that bill?
Thanks.
