Yesterday we received a ticket that one of our PM4i printers was printing faint labels. I went to look at it and noticed that the darkness was set to 0 and that the sensitivity was set to default. I set the darkness to 10 and left the sensitivity where it was. The settings stayed, until I went to print. After I printed the darkness went back to 0. So I put another PM4i printer in place of it, and it is having the same problem!
The second Intermec PM4i I put in was just refurbished, so it should be okay. We are using Loftware print server for these printers, but I don't believe these settings can be changed from Loftware. Even if they could, there are other printers using the same labels that are working just fine.
If anyone has some advice I would really appreciate it.
