We have a legacy device in our Production area that outputs some text reports to ONLY a parallel printer. The prior printer is now dead, and we would rather not just replace it. We just want to capture and store the output anyway. There must be something that will read the parallel output (straight ASCII characters), and dump it to a text file, or some other type of file that can then be further processed. A little time reading Google's results lead to a few possibilities, but they do not appear to be 'reliable looking' sites. Has anybody had experience with this type of device, and can vouch for reasonable functionality?
Thanks, Eric
