We are in the process of attempting to go more paperless and as I assumed the problem is not so much with the technology but more with the mindsets of the users and getting over the "this is the way we have always done it" attitude. We recently changed every system in the office which has assisted greatly however I still catch one or two people occasionally printing a 400 page document in order to get two pages worth of information. Just curious about other peoples experiences with such initiatives and how they changed the mindsets of the employees.
One thing we did was eliminate a great number of printers forcing all employees to walk to the printers. This has saved thousands of print jobs as they are less likely to print it if they have to walk. Also save a lot of money on printer maintenance as a result as we have a lot less printers.
