Print server/printer hell

Hi everyone,

Not sure if it's a print server or printer problem.

I've got 2 printers, a Kyocera Taskalfa 3050ci and a Kyocera-Mita C5020N. Both I cannot seem to keep users printing to. I had both printers set up to deploy via group policy and they deployed. Both devices are running version 5.3 of the print driver downloaded from the Kyocera website. Both have security settings prohibiting management of the printer. The servers are running Server 2008R2 with x86 and x64 printer drivers installed and the clients are running Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit versions).

On the Taskalfa it seems to forget some admin settings. Users are getting a message saying "The operation cannot be completed." I am current resolving the issue by logging on as the admin and accessing the printer properties and/or reloading the print driver.

On the C5020N the computer seems to forget there's a print driver installed on the computer.

Does anyone have any idea on what's going on with these printers? Is it a Windows server problem, a Kyocera problem?
