Rico Scan to Folder Issue

I have a Rico C300sr printer I am tring to set up Scan to File on. I quite literately want to throw this thing out a window.

When I set up the folder to scan to and press the test connection button it succeeds, and I can browse the folder at this point

Connection with the PC has succeed

But the second I try to actually scan a file I get the following error

Transmission has failed. To check the current status press [Scanned Files Status]

checking the Scanned Files Status only gives the error message of

very helpful. I am trying to scan to a folder on a Windows Server 2012 machine
